Bitter Grounds - espresso fueled ramblings

I've discovered I have a real thing for industrial style backgrounds and photos.  Gears, concrete, rust - something about the textures appeal to me. Here's another background I've been playing with.

A basic street scene laid over a photo of crumbling concrete. Can't remember where I took the photo of the concrete - down around Bloor and Spadina I think. Kind of cool effects:

I ran the original photo through a filter that turned it into a black and white pencil drawing, layered the concrete background onto it and changed the colour. Looks great on the desktop as a background. I've loaded up a couple variations  you can use as wallpaper over in the DOWNLOADS   (look the right). Feel free to grab it if you like.

The buildings in the foreground are right on Yonge, south of St. Clair.

Catpaw with a pint & a typical bad haircutTime for a new look - the venerable cat on a postage stamp is now retired. As much as I loved him, it was time for a face lift - bad haircut & all.
