Completed checks for world post office links

The extensive list world post office links is now complete. All links are functional, as of this article’s publication. It’s surprising how many post offices don’t have any details about upcoming stamps, and sadly a number have woefully out of date information. It’s a bit hit and miss.

Next project is to check for missing post offices. I picked up a couple along my initial search. I’ve already thought of ways to make the page more useful for philately collectors and will initiate a few changes in the spring sometime.

What’s lacking:

  • details on post cancels
  • better links to issuing programs
  • clearer details about functionality

I’ll have to chew all of this over a bit before I start the next stage. If you have details that might help, pass them along.

I’ll put some effort into making the spreadsheet tidier as well. It’s functional, barely. It needs a cleaner feel and less clutter.  Like I said, this is going to take some thought. But it’s workable.

If you find this page useful, don’t forget to subscribe to receive all updates and new posts to the site.  You can also buy me a coffee or donate to keep the site running.

Cheers,

Catpaw

List of world wide post offices – updates

I’ve made steady inroads in the list of world wide post offices. I’ve been cross checking various links to see if some of the faulty sites have been fixed.  I’ve also started to note when a post office link comes up as not secure so you can decide whether to proceed.

Also being added, when found, are links to post marks (cancels). Some post offices include them on their sites,  but they can be very hard to track down.

This will close in 30 seconds
