Royal Australian Air Force anniversary March 31

The Royal Australian Air Force formed March 31, 1921 and traces its origins to the 1912 formation of the Australian Flying Corps (AFC)

They turned 100 in 2021 and as part of the celebration Australian Post issued this beautiful souvenir sheet of stamps.

Two aircraft were picked to represent the RAAF old and new. The first stamp shows the F-35A Lightning II, which entered service in 2018. The second stamp is of a Royal Aircraft Factory SE5A, a biplane from WW1. When the RAAF was officially formed, 35 of the SE5As were already in service.
