Republic of Cyprus stamps 2021 offer a few interesting items.  There are a couple of nice aviation related stamps, a bit of Greek history and of course, this year’s Europa issues. Cyprus is a maddening country to work with. While the stamps are interesting, details are hard to come by. I searched a number of sources for info on designers and could find only one – Anna Fotiadou (Άννα Φωτιάδου). I’ve included details below. 

I have to admit, I am a bit disappointed in the aviation stamps that started the year. When I first read about the planned aeroplane stamps, I was hoping for a glimpse of Cyprus’ aviation history. A little something about the old Nicosia International Airport or perhaps a bit from the early days of flight, but instead, they offered up 3 US related stamps. Oh well, maybe next year. 

So far no maxi cards have been released, but 2 or 3 are on the list sometime in the summer and fall. When they appear, you can be sure they’ll be posted here.
