Belgium stamps 2021 – time to look at them. The upcoming year is filled with some of the best designs I’ve seen to date. I’m wowed by both the artwork and interesting features tucked into some of the issues.

My favourite stamp is Thierry de Cordier’s Nada. Next is the Roger Raveel series. Not sure what it is about the Nada stamp, but I find it thought provoking. This stamp will include silver highlights, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Belgium designers will also utilize blacklight ink, special papers, and unusual optical effects. The imagination on display has increased my appreciation of Belgium stamps 10-fold. I’m used to looking at older, pre-WW2 stamps, so this year’s list was a revelation. Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do. 

As I find more info, I’ll add it. I’m currently culling through some information on the designers and artists. I rely heavily on Google translate, which slows me down. Feel free to drop a comment and let everyone know which stamp is your favourite of the Belgium stamps.

Town squares of Malines, Belgium

Voz has worked for Belgium Post since 1984. Some of her designs include 2020’s Spéculoos (Christmas Cookies) She has worked with Broux on a number of stamps over the decades including 2020’s Abbeys and Monasteries, Contemporary Art – Berlinde De Bruyckere, Sculpture and 2019 Christmas stamps. 
Broux has been employed as an engraver with Belgium Post since 1995. His first stamp, as a freelancer, was the 1989 Tillo’s Church in Izegem stamp. Other stamps include the 1996 Music, 2002 Antwerp university, literature anniversaries 2009 Belgian World Heritage souvenir sheet and 2020’s Iconic stamps, Liège Squares, and Remarkable cemeteries.
