It’s time to wander to the other side of the world and enjoy the Taiwan 2025 stamp program. I can’t think of a better country to focus on after a long layoff from writing.
Taiwan presents an interesting mix of ancient and new, reflected through their art, technology and well, just about everything else. Chunghwa Post offers a number of returning themes, among them a continuation of the Taiwan Scenery and Taiwanese Artists along with a few new topics. This year, one popped up that just wowed me. June’s Taiwan Crafts offers a breath taking macro view of the country’s arts and crafts
I usually wait until the year is done before casting a vote on the best set, but Taiwan Crafts will be impossible to beat. It has all the elements that make up a timeless, classic stamp – rich colours, fine details, balanced design, artistry. Everything comes together in this 4 stamp selection. If ever there was an award winning set, this is it.
FDCs and folders often take longer to trickle out, so until the stamp is released, images aren’t available. They’ll be plopped in as they appear. I’ve spent a little extra time on translations this time and I hope things are more accurate, as well as details.
With thanks to Taiwan Post for both the details and the scans. All images are the sole property of Chunghwa Post.
