As promised in the 2026 article, here is the Cyprus 2025 stamp program. I don’t believe it either, but let’s just enjoy the moment.
It’s hard to go wrong when you start the year off with classic motorbikes. You don’t meed to be a enthusiast to appreciate the beauty and design involved in them. And when you follow them up with a eye poppingly beautiful mosaic set, well, you have everything we need for a fun program.
It’s easy to over look small programs like the 2025 Cyprus stamp issues. Small, but as I often say, tightly focused on themes that are meaningful to the country. Some programs are simply cash cows with little true philatelic interest. Luckily Cyprus has never fallen into that trap. I’m working backwards in time at the moment. Cyprus 2026 was just posted (June 20, 2026), today is their 2025 program and hopefully I’ll get to 2024 to complete the listing. I’ve been working mostly with 2026 stamps, so if you spot the wrong year, it’s just a brain fart, so let me know.
Should we dare hope for 2024 before the year is done? I won’t make any promises, but it’s always possible.
Enjoy the stamps

Europa 2025 – National Archaeological Discoveries
2 stamps, booklets of 8, FDC, cancel

For this set Cyprus chose the stunning 4th ce mosaic uncovered in 2015. Discovered by the archaeologists, the mosaic is a 26-meter-long dramatic chariot race. Very few examples have been uncovered, and this one is stunning in it’s detail and preservation.
Four chariots, with horses and drivers are accompanied by an inscription beneath each identifying each driver. Each panel in the extensive mosaic depicts a different scene from the race.
If you are interested in a fascinating deeper dive into these mosaics check out Horses on Stamps website. They wrote a lengthy article on the mosaics and the stamps. https://www.horse-stamps.ru/info/cyprus-europe-2025-national-archaeological-discoveries/en Even if horses aren’t your thing, this is a top notch site with fun deep dives into stamps. Worth the visit; worth a bookmark.
