中国邮政 Chinese 2021 stamps
Details on all the Chinese 2021 stamps and release dates are available. China Post’s planned 86 stamps + 4 souvenir sheets is tentative. The stamps for the Tokyo Olympics will likely not be released and the pending stamps are still up in the air. China 2021 offers a nice cross section of traditional Chinese topics, which includes anniversaries, social education and of course, Chinese history.
It’s an interesting exercise translating from the original website. Although there is an English translated page available, I felt it often lacked details found on the Chinese version. This is the link I used to gather the info 2021年纪特邮票发行计划 – 中国集邮有限公司 (chinapost.com.cn). I used Google translate and altered some of the translations into a manageable form of English. Some of the translations eluded me so if you spot an error or have a better translation, please feel welcome to share it in the comments below.
Information about designers and artists is difficult to gather. My offerings are spartan at best. One of the most exciting parts of stamp collecting is finding new designers to appreciate. I’ll keep researching this area and hopefully will have more to offer soon.

UPDATE: March 20, 2021
New additions include pre-stamped post cards issued by China Post. Stamps for the 5 cows series are very small. When I find better quality ones, I’ll replace them. Images are now replaced.
UPDATE: April 5, 2021
I’m currently debating whether to include special items tailored to specific areas. I haven’t quite figured out how to tackle all the items.

Our Motherland So Rich in Beauty
1 stamp in a souvenir sheet
Special release issued in Guangzhou and Shenzhen
The special stamp consists of one miniature sheet, … with planned circulation of 6 million sets. The stamp design is based on a Chinese painting of the same title that hangs in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The painting is a huge colored landscape, 6.5 meters high and 9 meters wide, jointly created in 1959 by Mr. Guan Shanyue, a representative of Lingnan School of Painting, and Mr. Fu Baoshi, a contemporary Chinese painter. Chairman Mao Zedong inscribed six Chinese characters as the title for this poetic painting meaning “Our Motherland So Rich in Beauty”. This landscape masterpiece artistically integrates the scenery that best represents the magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland and the spirit of the Chinese nation including the all-year-round sceneries inside and outside the Great Wall, and up and down the Yellow River. The painting perfectly interprets the shocking boldness of Mao Zedong’s praiseworthy poem, namely “Snow Tune: Spring in a Pleasure Garden”, a classic in the history of Chinese art. With graphic design techniques, the stamp displays the magnificent landscapes of the original picture “Our Motherland So Rich in Beauty“. “Our Motherland So Rich in Beauty” special stamps issued in Guangzhou and Shenzhen – ChinaPost
