It’s Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day everyone.
On July 1, 1867 the British North America Act went into effect.
While looking for a good stamp celebrating Canada, I was surprised how many countries have issued stamps celebrating aspects of this big country.

On July 1st, 1867, Canada started with 4 provinces and a population of 3.4 million. 157 years later the country has 10 provinces and 3 territories and population of 41,376,983. That breaks down to 3.92 people per square kilometre. Oh did I mention how big Canada is? The country covers 9,984,670 km (3,855,100 sq mi).

The first 7 or 8 pages will serve up some fun posts, but after that the search kind of wanders off and does it’s own thing. I’ve never gotten around to fine tuning it. One day. Maybe.
