Eesti Post has released subjects and dates for the Estonian stamps 2021. No advanced images are available, which is shame because a few look interesting. Photos and designer information will be posted as the info is released. Estonian stamp collectors can look forward to 5 100th anniversary issues. For specialty collectors, there is an aviation stamp celebrating 100 years of Estonian aviation to look for in Sept and wildlife/nature specialists can expect several stamps throughout the year.

First film ran on October 4, 1896 in the Great Guild Hall in Tallinn.Â
In the small hall of what has then known as the Stock Exchange, the people of Tallinn were able to enjoy the new technological miracle – cinema – for the price of 50 kopeks. The programme consisted of ten pieces, about one minute each. The wolf was declared Estonia’s national animal in 2018 and or a good reason:
As a brave animal that protects its family and territory and values privacy, the wolf is the perfect national animal to symbolise Estonia and Estonians. Wolves are also very common in our traditions, spells, and folk tales. Throughout the ages, our people have had more than 500 different names for them, such as susi, võsavillem, and kriimsilm. Award winning Estonian artist and engraver Lõhmus has designed over 200 stamps for Estonia, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan and the former USSR. He has also designed the first Estonian Euro in 2011. His book “Lembit Lõhmus. 70 copper engravings. 70 copper engravings”, showcases some of his designs.
